Game description
Rogue Clone is an open-source recreation of the classic Rogue, the role-playing dungeon crawler that spawned the roguelike genre. Since Rogue was never open sourced, fans of the game have long worked on creating an open source version. Rogue Clone was originally written for UNIX systems by Tim Stoehr and later ported to DOS as DOS Rogue Clone by Michael Lehotay.
Based on Stoehr's Rogue Clone III, this is the fourth generation of the game, hence the roman IV in the title. It is very similar, but not completely identical, to the original Rogue, and can be configured to look like the DOS or UNIX version. A Windows-native build is also available.
