Are all these games free?

Yes, you don't have to pay to download and play these games. Although some of the games are shareware. Those games have a trial period in which you can freely play the game, but after that period has expired you can choose to purchase the game to continue playing it.

Do these games work on a Mac too?

Yes, it's possible to run DOS games on Mac OS. In order to do that, you need a program called DOSBox. You can download this emulator from their website: www.dosbox.com.
