Instruction/comment
This game will have graphical glitches if run in DOSBox with the default configuration. To avoid them, open the DOSBox configuration file and change the line machine=svga_s3 to machine=svga_et4000.
Additionally, there are misleading instructions in the game concerning controls. When it asks you to "press Return", you actually need to press the Space bar. And when it asks to "press all player buttons", you need to press S if you use the Keyboard 1 control setting.

Game description
This is yet another unofficial conversion of the Commodore 64 managerial strategy game M.U.L.E., where the player develops a colony on a distant planet, vying against three other competitors. Players take turns to perform their actions, but there is a time limit to do so.
Compared to the original game, MULE 386 offers much improved VGA graphics in 256 colours, Sound Blaster music and sound effects. However, the project was apparently never completed, and the only available version is a beta, with some gameplay features missing or only partially implemented. It can still be played against computer opponents with adjustable difficulty levels, or with other players at the same computer.
