Game description
Daymare I is a first-person dungeon crawler similar to Dungeon Master, originally released for Atari ST as The Mystic Well.
You control one character, and while it seems that you cannot pick a class like in the Atari ST version, you can roll stats before starting the game, with four attributes. This will affect your starting conditions like the amount of health, stamina, etc. Movement is grid-based with 90 degree turns, similar to many first-person RPGs of the time. The game seems to be entirely mouse-operated. Combat occurs in real time, so you need to mash the attack button as quickly as possible, but spells also appear to be available. In the dungeon, you will explore multiple levels of sprawling corridors filled with various nasties, and find useful items.
Daymare I was originally distributed as shareware, but it's not clear if the author still accepts registrations.
