Game description
Velena is an AI engine that plays the game Connect Four "perfectly" (meaning that it will always win if it is given the first turn), with the algorithm based on a 1989 thesis by L. Victor Allis.
The game has several difficulty settings and also allows for two human players to compete at the same computer. There is an unlimited undo turn option, as well as a built-in hint system.
Velena is freeware, and the source code of the engine is also available. A modern version of the game has been created based on this code, available for Windows and Linux (please see the links section below).
