Game description

Transylvania is an illustrated text adventure where the player is tasked with finding and rescuing Princess Sabrina in the forests of Transylvania. Each game location is represented as a static image, possibly with items that can be collected, non-player characters or hostile monsters. The interaction with the game world is via typing commands, processed by the Comprehend engine. To add a sense of urgency to the game's action, there's a werewolf constantly chasing the player, which can only be defeated when a suitable weapon is found.

This was originally a commercial game, but the developers released it as freeware in the late 90s, over a decade after the original release.
