Game description
The Trials of Odysseus Kent is a point-and-click adventure game by Ben 'Yahtzee' Croshaw that aims to imitate the design style of LucasArts' Monkey Island series, in terms of presentation and humour, while at the same time being a completely original thing.
Odysseus Kent is a very pale teenage treasure hunter is after a legendary treasure. To recover it, he will go to various unlikely places, talk to zany characters and do very odd things. The game screens and characters are drawn in a curious art style that gives off a certain Monkey Island vibe, and are generally more polished than the art from Croshaw's earlier work, the Rob Blanc series.
The Trials of Odysseus Kent is running on the Adventure Game Studio (AGS) engine and has been released as freeware for DOS and Windows. A complete walk-through by the author is also available.
