Game description
This is the original Tetris, developed by Alexey Pajitnov in 1984-1986 in the Academy of Sciences of the Soviet Union, originally for the Soviet Elektronika computers, and then ported to IBM PC by Vadim Gerasimov.
Tetris gameplay should be familiar to everyone, but just in case, the objective is to assemble full rows of blocks from falling tetrominoes of various shapes, which removes them from the playing field. If tetrominoes fill the field to the top, it's game over. The more points the player scores, the faster the blocks will fall down.
Vadim Gerasimov released the latest version of the DOS port as freeware.
