Game description
Sword of Honour is a beautifully drawn action-adventure game set in medieval Japan. The player controls a ninja in the service of Shogun Yuichiro, tasked with recovering the Shogun's family sword from the clutches of the evil tyrant Toranaga.
The game is a side-scrolling adventure with a recurrent element of versus fighting. The player's ninja can jump, punch and kick, although this is not a full-blown beat-'em-up. You can collect various items and either use them as weapons or give to other characters to progress further. Some enemies may be pacified when a specific item is given to them. There are also traps that need to be avoided or disabled.
Sword of Honour was first released on the Amiga and Commodore 64 systems and later ported to DOS. The playable demo gives a taste of a portion of the full game.
