Game description

Klooni is a fan-made reimagining of DOOM II on the heavily modified Wolfenstein 3D engine. It still has the latter's major limitations, including 90-degree walls with no height variation, but adds floor and ceiling textures, skyboxes, and accurately implements all of the weapons, items and monsters from DOOM II. All monsters behave as you'd expect, there are teleporter pads, animated decorations, damaging floors, and even the classic DOOM minimap where Wolfenstein 3D had none.

The single-player campaign is split into six episodes, which roughly follow the storyline and setting of the official DOOM titles, but the levels themselves are completely different. In spite of the more limited engine, Klooni will unlikely run well on a PC that would be just enough for Wolfenstein 3D, and even a 486 will probably struggle with this game.

Klooni was released as freeware, but you need to own a copy of DOOM II or Final Doom to play. The game was created with modding in mind, an there are several user-mademap packs for it. A native Windows version is also available.
