Game description
Kick Attack! is a single-level partial conversion for DOOM and DOOM II that was created, with permission and help by id Software, for the Royal Crown Company (RC Cola) to promote the Kick brand of soft drink.
The player is cast as a quality control manager at a Kick bottling plant who discovers that it is being taken over by competitors from Alpine Spew (a not-so-subtle reference to Mountain Dew, a competing brand of soft drink at the time). All of the weapons and enemies are changed to fit this theme, with various odd characters instead of the zombies and demons, as well as flying bottles of Alpine Spew with sharp teeth.
This add-on was available as a free download for both DOOM and DOOM II. The two versions are identical, featuring one sprawling level with lots of enemies and traps, culminating with a boss battle. The map was created by Tim Willits, a prominent DOOM level designer who worked at id Software.
