Game description
Island Hopper is a vertical-scrolling shooter somewhat similar to Flying Tigers. The player's aircraft flies over large bodies of water dotted with occasional small islands and sometimes larger land masses, opposed by waves of enemy planes, helicopters and even flying saucers, as well as land-based defenses. Destroying these earns the player points and occasionally bonuses like firepower upgrades.
There are three episodes of increasing difficulty, taking place in different locations.
Island Hopper was originally sold as shareware, but author Kurt W. Dekker released the registered version as freeware in June 2006.
