Game description

Equality is a highly original puzzle game where you need to assemble various shapes from coloured objects that fall from the top of the screen. Different object types have different weights, and in the default mode heavier objects will crush any number of lighter ones directly below them.

The levels alternate between two games modes. In the first one, there is a scale-like structure, initially positioned evenly because of the identical number of green balls on each side. This balance will change as you create shapes according to the instructions in the top right corner of the screen. Objects arranged in known shapes (i. e. from any completed level, not just the current one) will disappear from the screen. Should one of the sides go up into the red zone of the scale, it's game over.

In the second mode, you also need to arrange objects into shapes, but here you will push them from various heights by using a character that moves around the screen. In both modes, bonus points are awarded for completing levels before the timer runs out. It is possible to save and later load your game at any time.

Equality was released as shareware, but the unregistered version contains the whole game, just with obligatory nag screens at the start and the end, prompting you to register. It was originally an Amiga game, later ported to DOS.

The developer, TLK Games, is still in business and offers a native Windows version of Equality for purchase from their website.
