Game description
Dynamo Draughts is a versatile PC implementation of draughts (known in the US as checkers), a popular board game. It supports a selection of different game variants, and also allows the user to play a completely custom setup. Dynamo Draughts also boasts a fairly strong AI.
The game was originally distributed as shareware, and quickly became very popular in the 90s, setting the industry standard of Portable Draughts Notation. In 2024, author Adrian Millett released the full game (for DOS and Windows) as freeware, along with the source code, under the GNU GPL version 3 license.
