Game description
Columns is a very simple yet fun and addictive variant of the classic falling block puzzle pioneered by Sega. Blocks of various colours fall down the screen in columns of three, and the player needs to arrange at least three of the same colour in a horizontal, vertical or diagonal line to make them disappear from the screen, for which points are scored. The higher the score, the faster the blocks will fall down.
Columns was originally sold as shareware, but in 2000, author Brian Boese made the full game free, accepting donations from players (please see the official game page for contact details).
