Game description

Clueless is a chess programme said to be designed for beginners, as it is very weak and uses rather basic algorithms to plan its moves. However, there are six difficulty levels available, and the highest can likely pose a challenge for beginner or low-skilled players.

The game's AI appears to not use any opening books, and sometimes it plays in rather unorthodox ways. However, on higher skill levels it still does plan its moves to an extent, and does not get itself caught off guard easily.

Clueless was released as freeware. The author of the programme is not known. The game randomly decides if you play black or white each time a new game is started, and it saves the current game upon exit so that you can continue next time you start it up.
