Game description
Back to the Moon is a game inspired by the classic Lunar Lander. You need to safely guide a rescue module to the surface of the Moon (and later of other planets) to extract miners stranded there. Impeding your way are objects flying across the screen, which you can try to shoot down once a miner has been picked up. Watch your fuel and energy meters, running out of these means game over.
You can only land on specifically designated pads, and only at the lowest velocity possible, so consider using your thrusters to slow down. There are also bonuses scattered across the screen that you can pick up to gain an advantage, such as increase your firepower. Later levels feature more obstacles and more bonuses.
The game was distributed as freeware, but the authors accepted voluntary donations.
